A very well timed run by Jaden Lloyd enabled Set Me Up to reel in the 7-8 lengths required to win the ACCESS INSULATION SUNSHINE COAST BENCHMARK 65 Handicap over 2200m, making it three wins in a row!
Sent out a firm $2.40 favourite despite being up 5kgs and backing up after her Doomben win last week, this race was going to be tricky given the small field and uncertain tempo. Jaden however was very confident and remained calm at the rear, until into the straight where he brought the 5yo mare into clear air and she charged through her gears to catch the gallant leader Memoire Parfait.
This no doubt will help her ratings as John and Sheila look towards the possibility of a Magic Millions day race for her in mid January.
The team are going from strength to strength with four wins in the last week, making it six for the month!
