After a quiet winter period for the stable, things are starting to heat up at Esprit Racing!

Impacted by the retirements of long term stable favourites Irish Constabulary and Mewstone Rock, and of course treading on egg shells during COVID-19, racing was fairly quiet as we selectively targetted our horses towards suitable races within the confines of the restricted zones and their ability.

As well as Sheila and John taking an opportunity for a well deserved and long awaited break up north, a large number of horses spelled and have returned from Golden Gully at staged intervals, and are generally in tremendous condition.

We will start to see where their fitness is at at this stage of their campaigns at the jumpouts and trials in the next fortnight where our new 3yo’s in Beltaria (below), Thunder Mania, Set Me Up and the Vancouver filly will all work, as will So Thoughtful, Checkmate Lad and Hanazakari.

Beltaria

Other unraced horses like Love Demon, Vista Rose and El Maestro showed very good promise and were able to have plenty of education, performing well in jumpouts before heading out for a spell.

So Dapper (below), Without Thinking and Red River Lad have been back a few weeks, and are all looking tremendous; their work has been very pleasing, so they will ramp up in speed over the next month or so.

This year’s Magic Millions purchases, the Shalaa and Medaglia d’Oro colts are back this week, and their development has vindicated John Symons’ eagle eye to purchase them at such value.

They are magnificent looking youngsters, more advanced than our previous crop at the same stage, and with luck they will be at the races before Christmas and heading toward January glory at the scene of their purchase on the Gold Coast.

The Medaglia colt still has a few shares left; this is how he was looking earlier in the week before returning to the stable.

He comes highly recommended…..so DON’T MISS OUT!

Then of course we have Kiriana, Bronzegate, Irish Ace and Simply So all racing and capable of winning shortly in their right race and conditions, Sun ‘N’ Surf getting up to his distance range, and Masawu showing a great deal of raw ability.

So, it is all happening here at Esprit Racing!

We are very excited with the talented horses we have, and we expect to have a strong period as these horses reach the racetrack and work through their grades, and hopefully to some serious races.

We welcome a large number of new owners and friends of Esprit Racing who have joined us recently, and we look forward in playing our part in their exciting racing experience.

Good luck to everyone!
