Plenty of tongues were wagging today after Dovetail Diva demolished a field of 2yo’s at Deagon, and in doing so obtained her barrier certificate to go to the races.

Watch the trial below…..

Now Dovetail Diva was the Headwater/Moodlighting filly that John Symons purchased at the Magic Millions 2yo’s in Training sale in November, along with the Shalaa/Queen Louise filly.

At the time, John Symons said in his video that “if you’re not quick you will miss out on a very nice horse here”.

So if you weren’t quick enough and are regretting it after watching today’s trial, here are two things to quickly consider:

  1. John just purchased a Headwater yearling colt at the Magic Millions – watch the video below, listen to what John says, and do not miss out this time. The Headwaters have hit the track and are going extremely well, with Wisdom of Water, You’ll be Mist, RIver Twain and Aquagirl leading the charge already.
  2. Now if you do not want to wait for 9-12 months to get to the races, the Shalaa 2yo filly was going as well as Dovetail Diva, winning a jumpout impressively before having a quick 5 week spell. She is back in full work and should race in April. This filly was the reason John headed to the sales. Shalaa of course is the young sire of last week’s Magic Millions 2yo in Shaquero, so we doubt you will see a quality 2yo that can run, at this price again.
