A good barrier, a good ride and a good horse all came together to see Durban Harbour dominate his 1600m maiden today at the Sunshine Coast.

Ridden by Melbourne Cup winning jockey, Robbie Dolan, the son of Dominant jumped well, and was quickly in the prime position behind the leader in the small field of 6.

Always looking ready to pounce there were a few flutters when Robbie started to look for the gap to appear, but once it did, he built through his gears to win racing away by 3 lengths in a time of 1.40.61 on the soft 7 track.

Both John and Sheila love this very athletic gelding and will be sure to place him to advantage as he starts to build in both journey and class.

Congratulations to Todd Rohl, Dr Clive Williams and a great group of lessees for a victory that is sure not to be the last!
