A wonderful day for JSL Racing Australasia with a city double at Doomben!
Mewstone Rock set the day off well, relishing the step up in journey for a commanding win to break her maiden, and then Irish Constabulary did it again, monstering his opposition to win convincingly.
For the connections of Mewstone Rock it has been a long wait, so thanks for your patience, but as you saw today the talent is there and she will only improve from here.
Ridden by Michael Hellyer for the first time, she appreciated the stronger tempo and quickly put the race beyond doubt.
As for Irish Constabulary, his effort was exceptional, as he was versatile enough to take a sit today and thrash his opposition down the straight. A clever ride by Jeff Lloyd in recognising early in the race that the pace was on.
It’s onwards and upwards for both winners and the stable, with John and Sheila racking up an incredible set of statistics since arriving in Queensland.
Congratulations to all the team and the patriotic group of owners.
