With a strong sprinting performance, Simply Ming, ridden by Casey Bruce, was too good for her rivals yesterday in a 0-64 Handicap over 1000m at Warracknabeal.

Jumping well from the inside draw, Casey took the mare off the rails at the 600m to pounce on the lead on the turn, and the race was never really in doubt all the way down the straight to record a 3/4 length victory.

This was Simply Ming’s 4th win and 9th placing from 14 starts, and took her earnings above $50,000. It was Casey’s 3rd win on the Bel Esprit mare, so they have quite an affinity.

Congratulations to Simply Ming, and her owner, Leanne Moloney!
