A large number of owners joined us today at the picturesque Yarra Valley track to witness Irish Constabulary sprint from last before the turn, to win racing away.
Gleaming in the sun, he showed no signs of the shoulder soreness that hampered his finish at Kilmore a fortnight ago, and was extremely impressive charging away from the field.
Trainer John Symons was thrilled with the win, and told racing.com he may now give the horse a rest and look ahead to bigger things. He has come along way in his first race preparation, and John expects he will get out to a mile in his next campaign.
Today’s win would certainly suggest that will be the case, and in stronger grade….
