On a day where the mighty Winx stole the limelight with her awesome second Cox Plate victory, Denoninator did it again with a brilliant last to first victory at his favourite Eagle Farm track.
Atoning for the last start Doomben race where he was unable to get to a position to let loose in the straight, top jockey Jeff Lloyd let the big back gelding relax off a fast tempo and waited for the right time to pounce.
At the top of the straight he could see the next 400m unveil as the pack drifted off the rails, and he charged through to win decisively.
This was Denoninator’s third win at Eagle Farm, where he relishes the roomy track and the opportunity to balance up before making his dash to the line.
He has been a great example of the improvement the stable’s horses have shown since the move to the Sunny state; the horses are happy and performing accordingly.
