A dream came true for John and Sheila when Knight’s Choice won the 2024 Melbourne Cup with an incredible finishing burst through the pack!
The long-term plan came to fruition, when the Extreme Choice gelding finally made it to a dry track at the 3200m distance he had been set for, and aided by a wonderful ride by Robbie Dolan, the little horse sprinted home to beat the Japanese raiders Warp Speed and Okita Soushi in a brilliant finish to the Race that Stops the Nation.
That’s 2 out of 2 Melbourne Cups for Sheila, and another Cup victory for Macedon Lodge, where the team again put the final touches on the horse.
What a day it was!
