An excellent maiden victory by Daintree Diva last night over 1300m at the Sunshine Coast, leading from barrier to box!
The 3yo filly has shown us that she is happy to run, so Ron Stewart was happy to let her spring the gates and cross to the lead easily from her wide barrier. From there the result was never in doubt as they dictated the tempo of the race, and kicked clear to hold a decisive lead to the line.
A good win by a filly going places as she matures and learns more about racing and harnessing her energy; she wants to run and as she gets out to 1400 and 1600m she should be even better suited, whether in this campaign or next.
