An excellent win for Lika Wreckin’ Ball today at Wodonga in the M Force Security BM62 Handicap over 2050 metres, at his first attempt at the distance.

After “running up backsides” late at his previous start at Seymour over a mile, the quick back up and added 400m was a good test for the 5yo Trapeze Artist gelding as it was new territory.

Despite that challenge and the tight Wodonga track, he was good enough to win, aided by a lovely Corey Parish ride that put him into the race, didn’t panic when other riders took off early, and importantly kept working on the horse to keep him accountable.

All good signs for Wreckin’ Ball to continue over this distance and beyond, and undoubtedly a bigger track will be more to his advantage as he goes up in class.

Congratulations to the team and to all his owners; we are all thrilled as we can see the improvement coming into the horses with the program at Macedon Lodge starting to work as the team hits the track.
