Rounding off a great weekend for the Esprit Racing stable was Kulaba, who made amends for his disappointing run last start with a commanding victory at Sunshine Coast today.

With a better draw, a firmer track, and a confident but patient ride from jockey Michael Hellyer, the 4yo son of Zupaone belied his heavy impost of 59kg to win convincingly.

Esprit Racing trainers John and Sheila were very excited with the win, and expect the gelding to keep working through his grades over the coming weeks and months. He is an immature horse, and it is just starting to click with him that he is a racehorse. It was great to see him put his head out, knuckle down and extend to the line.

Congratulations to a great bunch of owners.
