…..or so the race caller said as Irish Constabulary charged away from his rivals by 4 lengths in today’s Class 3 at the Sunshine Coast.
In an excellent performance, that had his many owners around the countryside in a text messaging frenzy expressing their delight, Irish appreciated the return to grass and the weight relief, to completely disregard the class rise .
Jumping brilliantly from barrier 9, he crossed the pack easily to lead and then relaxed beautifully behind the leader. Travelling easily like an old professional, he angled underneath the leader upon straightening to dart through the inside and race away from a strong midweek city class field.
John Symons indicated to Sky Racing that he thinks the horse can keep improving to the next level, and praised apprentice Sarah Eilbeck who is rapidly endearing herself to JSL Racing Australasia followers with today’s win and her winning efforts in yesterday’s trials.
Congratulations to all concerned, it looks like there is plenty in store for Irish Constabulary and the stable over the winter in Queensland.
