Very pleasing to see Dealing’s Done return to the winners’ list in the BRAD READ DESIGN GROUP RATINGS BAND 0 – 58 Handicap over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast on Friday evening in the time of 0:58.25 (600m 34.33).
For his band of patient and loyal owners, this second win had been over 2 years in the making, after showing early promise in his races against rivals who have proven to be good horses. His trackwork has always been impressive and the decision was made to geld him earlier in the year.
Trainer John Symons said the ultimate gear change seems to have improved his race day focus, and we hope he can now work his way through his classes. Whilst this was a smart win courtesy of a perfect ride from Trudy Thornton, sitting behind the leaders and driving through strongly when asked, he will be even better suited up to 1200m and a little beyond.
